As an expert for mineral chemistry and mineral exploration I have worked on a wide range of projects with academic, government and industry partners. I have expertise investigating the formation and evolution of mineral deposits, such as porphyry Cu-Mo-Au-Ag, sediment-hosted Cu, Mississippi-Valley-Type, orogenic gold, banded iron formations and epithermal veins. I have collaborated with BHP Billiton, Freeport McMoRan, Northern Star Resources, ExxonMobil and Wintershall on projects investigating geochemical fingerprints that can be employed for mineral exploration in increasingly challenging greenfield and brownfield settings. I have over 15 years laboratory experience (e.g., EPMA, XRF, XRD and FEG-SEM) with a particular focus on LA-ICP-MS. Among my academic achievements is the establishment of an improved methodology for LA-ICPMS measurements of the pathfinder mineral magnetite. My review paper on the chemistry of hydrothermal magnetite is rated among the top 1% of research papers in the field of Geosciences (source: Web of Science). Furthermore, I am a certified GIS specialist with experience in HTML/CSS and relational database management.

As part the national r4 research program that evaluates the resource potential in Germany, our team investigates deeply buried hydrothermal base metal sulfide mineralization in the North German Basin (MinNoBeck).

Geochemical analyses of ore and host rock minerals are the focus of our investigation which aims to elucidate the complex processes that led to the formation of sphalerite/galena and fluorite-barite mineralization in Permian sediments at depths exceeding 3 kilometers.
